• March 2023 work party

An extended work party with an excellent ploughman’s lunch provided by the Club. Unfortunately the weather did not play ball – too damp and windy for any outside painting and burning the large pile of cut vegetation. At least it was mild. Jobs completed:Cut vegetation from around the entrance gate moved to the bonfire heap;…

As longer term members will know, it has for many years been our tradition to have a formal Christmas Dinner in  the clubhouse, prepared and served by members. Was this due to Boats Over (although only affected 3 boats on the work party day), Mirage’s celebratory mince pies, Remembrance Sunday or Nigel’s reminder and list of tasks? A lot of routine maintenance work was undertaken. The new fridge/freezer finally moved to the…

The final Monday evening work party of the year, as with the evenings drawing in by 9pm there is not much light outside now.
