As longer term members will know, it has for many years been our tradition to have a formal Christmas Dinner in the clubhouse, prepared and served by members. Covid stopped that and also as times change there are now no members who felt they wanted to take this huge task on (understandably).
We do however know that members would like some sort of get together, not least of all for an opportunity to welcome new members.
Our solution, in the first instance, will be to ask people to bring their own ‘Christmas Picnic’ to eat and the club will have the room decked out, tables and chairs laid, tree up and so on, but also mulled wine and mulled cider and mince pies provided for all. (No charge but as usual a decent raffle). We will also have some table quizzes, games and so on.
Can we ask that you let us know if you think you may attend as until we know rough numbers we can plan no further. Time is tight so reply ASAP via the Black Buoy group email
The date is SATURDAY DECEMBER 10th starting at 6.30pm. This will mean that those who want to can stay overnight for the Sunday workparty.
